The history of the Senior Citizen Association, Mango garden, CBD, Belapur is woven around the vision of founder President Dr. MihirGanguly (2001 - 2006). Dr.Ganguly throughhis profession could realize that the Senior Citizens of CBD-Belapur are an unorganized sector. Single handily he started the organization in Mermaid building, sector-11 in a small room. Within a short time many stalwarts of the organization like present president Lt. Coln(Retd) D.P. Singh(2009 to present), previous president Mr. P.M. Maggu(2006-2009),Previous Late V.P Mr.G.S.Mullick, Late Mr.S.K.Chatterjee, Present Late V.P Mr.S.S. Mukherjee, MR.Q.H. Khan , Gen.Sec. Mr.S.S.Gandhi joined the team. Subsequently. Dr.S.R.Sachan,many prominent members like Mrs. MadhuriKaviswar, Mrs. Sashi Rastogi, Mrs.D.P.Singh,Adv.N.C. Doshi, Mr. A.K.Sharma, Mr.Jaswant Singh, Mr.S.K.Haldar have taken active role to make the Association a grand success. The Association has shifted to his permanent office at Mango garden from 2010. Now it is one of the best Senior Citizen Association in Navi Mumbai having 550+ members.
